Step 4 - Record Keeping

Picture
This module focuses on STEP 4: Recordkeeping. In order to create a comprehensive transcript packet at the end of the high school years, you will need to have not only the grades and credits earned but also a list of courses taken along with their details. A reading list is also recommended.

The sooner you start keeping records the easier it will be once you need to put together the transcript.  I didn't realize this until my older daughter had gone through 9th and part of 10th grade, which meant I had to gather than information from outside teachers, including how they calculated the grades for the class my teen took with them.  If your child is in still in 7th-9th grade, you can start this process at the beginning and not have the "chaos" that I did. :)

Resources

** Please do not share any of the resources from this course with anyone. Anyone may take the course, but the documents are the IP (intellectual property) of Katalytic, LLC. Thank you for your help with this.
I recommend downloading #1) the Sample Program of Studies, which can be used as a template.  The Sample Reading List (#2) is really for your reference and to give you something to consider. The Example Step-4 File (#3) is only needed if you'd like to have something physical to look at while updating your own Student Framework.
