Kathleen Rumford - BS, MS, Certified Financial Coach and Financial Educator, Personal Coach
Kathleen cares deeply about people and is passionate about helping them gain traction and forward momentum on the most important challenge areas that they face. She believes that the key to getting "unstuck" in areas holding people back is to help them gain emotional courage - the willingness to be vulnerable, authentic, and embrace both negative and positive emotions. Using radical presence, intent listening, and guided exploration, her clients feel fully heard and seen and are willing to step into new places and move toward new sustainable outcomes.
Kathleen is a certified Financial Coach, a Personal Coach, and an Educational Consutltant. She has completed training through Ramsey Solutions and has completed both ICF accredited coach training and Narrative Coach training. She also holds Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Mathematics/Computer Science and spent many years as a leader in project management and consulting in well-known organizations such as Andersen Consulting and Sprint Telecom. Additionally, Kathleen spent 15 years homeschooling her 2 daughters and others in the homeschooling community before moving on to manage business/financial/technical operations in TribusAllen, Inc., a leadership development consulting company, as well as finances and operations for multiple small businesses. She herself has also run multiple small businesses.
Since 2010, Kathleen has been leading Personal Finance classes for high school & college students, young adults, couples, and older adults, helping them to budget, increase cash flow, crush debt, save, and move toward a more stable and hopeful financial future with improved relationships. She was nationally recognized in 2011 as a top Personal Finance educator, and has led parenting classes and mentored pre-marital couples with her husband through her church.
Over the last decades of consulting, project management, operations, education, and financial coaching, Kathleen's journey has found her alongside industrious leaders, intentional parents, engaged couples, and transitioning students. Fostering personal and professional growth with individuals on her teams, with couples, and with individuals, she has supported career development, communication, conflict resolution, accountability, trust building, work/life balance, life-direction, parenting & marriage relationships, and personal finance health.
When Kathleen is not serving her clients, she is working on her own finances, scrapbooking, kayaking & hiking with friends and family, sharpening her Spanish language skills, and being of service to her local community and beyond. Her life is fuller and more fruitful for every person, every relationship, and every experience.
